FAQ
The Bull Run Wine Festival is a large wine festival held by The Winery at Bull Run, which is located in Centreville, Virginia. The festival hosts various wineries throughout the state of Virginia.
All guests who wish to enjoy the festival will need to purchase tickets (we recommend purchasing them in advance). The Winery at Bull Run will still be open to the general public who wish to not participate in the festival.
The festival is for ages 21+ only – this includes infants. The Winery at Bull Run will have its family-section open to the public during the festival, which is located behind the main tasting room. The main tasting room building will also be open to the public as well who wish to just purchase wine. Guests under 21 years of age will not be permitted in the festival area. All guests must bring a valid photo I.D upon check-in.
Yes, the wine tasting areas of the festival will be located outside on Hillwood Lawn (right in front of the Hillwood ruins and vineyard) underneath large tents. This is a rain or shine event.
The Bull Run Wine Festival will be occurring at The Winery at Bull Run during the weekend of May 30th – May 31st, 2026. The festival will run between the hours of 12:00PM – 5:00PM each day. Please note that wine tastings will conclude at 4:30PM. Guests will still be able to purchase wine to go home with them up until 5:00PM.
Yes, you may bring a lawn chair or blanket with you! We ask that you please take it out of its bag to make the check-in process more efficient. Tents, canopies, etc. are prohibited.
Outside food is permitted in both the Adults (21+) and Family-Friendly picnic table sections of The Winery at Bull Run; outside food is not permitted inside the winery’s tasting room, patio areas, or within the festival’s wine tasting areas underneath the tents. Outside beverages and alcohol are strictly prohibited to comply with Virginia ABC regulations.
Dogs will not be permitted in the festival areas; The Winery at Bull Run will have its dog-friendly area open to the public as well that weekend.
Parking will be located both in front of the tasting room and production buildings, along with overflow parking located behind our vineyards. We will have parking attendants ready to help guide guests to the designated parking areas.
Yes! As long as you have checked in and have your wristband, you will be permitted to enter and exit the premises as needed, for example, to put wine purchases into your car.
Yes! All ticket-holders will receive a souvenir 6oz tasting glass with the festival’s logo on it once checked it to use for the wine tasting experience. Once you are done, you are welcome to take the glass home with you. You will also receive a complimentary winery passport and golf pencil to use during your experience as well.
